The Wolves Lacrosse Club is entering into its 7th season and continuing the evolution of our club, like last year we are going to build on the elite, competitive travel team for the Spring 2023 season.   

This experience will be different from past spring seasons, our goal is to have the boys learn and grow under a system focusing on lacrosse IQ and full-field play.  There will be an intense focus on full field clearing, set offensive plays, and creating an elite defensive program.  The goal is to develop a team that can compete with the top travel teams from across the state during the spring travel season.      

Who are we:

We are a travel club team.  Our mission is to develop the boys into more skilled lacrosse players who travel to compete against state level competition and want to grow their lacrosse IQ.  

Commitment:

Joining this team is a big commitment for both the player and parent.  In addition to playing our spring rec season (2 practices per week, local games on Saturdays) players will also have an additional FTLL practice each week they are required to attend as well as participating in 4 competitive tournament days.  Players are expected to participate in all practices and tournaments.  We cannot teach our system if we have boys missing practices.  Each player and one parent must sign the Wolves Travel ‘Code of Conduct’ acknowledging the expectation that each player will attend all practices and tournaments. Note that practices will continue after the conclusion of the FTLL on 05-March, and the players will continue to practice and play games with thier rec team currently TBD. Tournament Schedule:

We will be participating in 4 events in the spring, 4 Sundays of the Florida Travel Lacrosse League (FTLL) – see below.  

Playing Time:

Every player will have an opportunity to play in each game, but equal playing time is not guaranteed.  Playing time will be earned, not granted.  

Practice Location:

Practices will be alternated between two locations held at Starkey Ranch District Park (Lake Blanche Dr, Odessa, FL 33556) and Keystone Park

Practice Schedule:

2-3 Times per week

Player Numbers:

We will have approximately 18 field players on the team consisting of 4 attack, 6 defense and 7 middies. 1 FOGO, 2 Goalies
